Abstract
PURPOSE: To display frequency differences with a simple constitution by so controlling an addition-subtraction counter that it makes addition when it makes subtraction from the numerical value corresponding to the preset frequency from a memory circuit and when the count value becomes zero.
CONSTITUTION: The frequencies of the signal through a gate 9 which opens for one second via control circuit 10 are counted with a counter 1 and are displayed in a display part 4 via latch circuit 3 and are stored in a memory 2. At the start of the next counting period, the storage contents of the memory 2 are preset in the counter 1 and the counter 1 makes subtracting counting according to the frequencies of the signal being inputted for one second from the gate 9. When the contents of the counter 1 become zero on the way of this subtraction, an addition command is applied to the counter 1 by the counter 1, JKFF 6, OR circuit 7, etc., then the counter 1 makes addition. Hence, the frequency differences may be surely displayed with the simple constitution.
