Abstract
PURPOSE: To make assemble editing of information signal in VTR easy by recording the time code signal in word unit of the information signal in a recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: The video signal of a VTR 4 is edited by the control signal of an electronic editer 6 in a VTR 5. The editer 6 is provided with a recording time code signal generator 3 which is so arranged as to correspond the recording time code signal to the information signal and continuously recording the same in word unit to a recording medium by using a time code data signal generating circuit 12 and a circuit 11 forming the recording time code signal composed of biphase code singlas. In the generator 3, the polarity of the specific bit signal of the fixed binary value in the recording time code signal of word units is discriminated and according to that polarity, the fixed binary value is changed and the recording time code signal of the word units of the fixed polarity of the respective bit signals succeeding to the specific bit signal is outputted.
