Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The constitution of a control rod 5, which is inserted into a control rod channel 4b in a core reflector region 2 and a control rod channel 4a of a core fuel rod region 1, comprises a column shape inner absorber 5a and a cylindrical shape outer absorber 5b, which is engaged in a floating manner to the outside of the former 5a. In the bottom end part of the inner absorber 5a, is provided a stopper 7 that makes a touching to the bottom end part of the outer absorber 5b. With the control rod 5 made moving downward by a drive device linked to the inner absorber 5a, the outer absorber 5b stops a motion at a border part between the reflector 2 and the fuel region 1, only with the inner absorber 5a further moving downward in the fuel region 1.
