Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the NOx of exhaust gas resulting from the incineration of EP ash, by spraying NH3 as a reducing agent into the exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: The ammonia is supplied to the center of an incinerator at the downstream side of slit nozzles 6 in a gas-phase part of the incinerator. The molar ratio of the ammonia to the NOx is set at about 4. The gas-phase reducing agent is supplied to a place at an ambient gas temperature of about 650 to 700°C.
