Abstract

PURPOSE:To adapt hot fluid of about 80 degrees C. for the continuous use on one side by using aromatic heat-resisting polymer film or the same containing metal salt for the heat exchanging bodies. CONSTITUTION:Films about 5-500 micons thick are shaped from aromatic polyamide or polyimide, or aromatic heat resisting polymer given by adding deliquescent metal salt such as zinc chloride to the above. These aromatic heat-resisting polymer films are laminated as actual or latent heat exchanging bodies for forming a heat exchanger. In this construction, actual and latent heat can be exchanged efficiently, and the apparatus can be applied for a continuous use of long duration even if one of the two fluid to exchange heat is of high temperature above about 80 degrees C. Since the films are highly resisting against chemicals, they can be applied for areas where resistivity against chemicals is necessary or for very low temperature.
