Abstract

PURPOSE: To devise to obtain different heat exchanging capacities in the essentially same external size by providing a device to adjust the distance between neighbouring heat pipes.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe 2a is inserted and held at a right angle in U-shpaed gains 4a of a pair of holding plates 4 in its both ends. Other heat pipes 2b and 2c are inserted into U-shaped gains 5a on adjusting plates 5 fixed by adjusting screws 6 to be movable in a long hole 4b in the piling direction of heat pipes 2a, 2b, and 2c, and fixed in their positions. In this construction, adjusting plates 5 are moved along the long hole 4b by loosening adjusting screws 6 for adjusting pitches s1 and s2 between mutually neighbouring heat pipes 2a, 2b, and 2c optionally. Thus, ventilating resistances in top and root parts of fins 1 in each stage are changed, and accordingly the thermal differences between fins and air can be changed to change the whole efficiency of heat exchanging. This serves to obtain different heat exchanging capacities in the essentially same external size.
