Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate productivity, and to lighten this device, by allowing the use of press moldings as a mounting bracket by supporting friction pads at the opposite side to a caliper and the mounting bracket by means of a pair of pins.
CONSTITUTION: With a pair of pins (Only one side is shown in the figure) 4 fastened to a mounting bracket 1 by means, such as, press-in, welding, etc., one end 4b is inserted into a caliper 5 while the other end 4a is inserted into a hole 16 of one side 9 of a pair of friction pads 7, 9 holding a disc 2. Thus, the mounting bracket 1 can be produced by press molding without depending upon casting, manufacturing is facilitated and the whole disc brake can be lightened. The friction pad 9 can be taken out from the pins 4 by preferring distance l2 in value larger than l1.
