Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a constant load to works in continuous cast line, etc., machine-to-machine tensional or compressional load of the works is absorbed by the displacements of one or more of machines so that machine-to-machine distances and speeds are controlled. CONSTITUTION:The housing 21 of the rolling mill 18 is provided with a displacement detector 28 to detect varied quantities. The detected value is feed backed to control the speed between the driving devices 12 and 27 to a desired value. Such means absorbs a rapid speed change between the machines 12 and 27, which is generally produced to control the molten metal level at the forming machine 10. Thus, such control relieves excessive load from cast strips 16. Or alternatively, the housing 21 is provided with a load detector 21 to detect load on the cast strip 16 which is generated by speed difference of the machines 10 and 18. The detected load is controlled to a desired value by adjusting the speeds of the both machines 10 and 18.
