EXAMPLE: 5-Fluoro-2-piperonyloxy-3H-pyrimidin-4-one.
USE: Low-toxic carcinostatic agent having stronger carcinostatic activity than 5- fluorouracil or its 2-benzyl derivative.
PROCESS: The compound I is prepared by heating a compound II (X is halogen) with a compound III (M is alkali metal) in a solvent such as toluene, THF, etc., at 60W140°C, pref. refluxing near the boiling point of the solvent.
