Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:An azole compound of formula I (X, Y are halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, CF3; Az is 1,2,4-triazole, imidazole; n, m are integer of 0W3).
EXAMPLE: 4-Chlorobenzyl N-phenylimidazol-1-yl-thioformimidate.
USE: Agricultural and horticultural fungicide (effective to wide variety of plant blights including those originated by resistant fungi) and medical fungicide (esp. effective to Trichophyton and Candida).
PROCESS: Reaction of compound II with a compound III in the presence of a base (e.g. organic tert-amine, alkali matal hydroxide or alcoholate, imidazole, triazole, etc.) affords a compound IV, which is converted to the objective compound I by reacting with a compound V in the presence of the above base.
