Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture the patterned, cold rolled steel sheet superior in decorativeness and buckling resistance at low cost, by rolling the cold rolled steel sheet of thickness above 0.3 mm using a roll being specially related to this thickness and being provided with rugged pattern of a special roughness, and by transferring the pattern onto the surface of the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: From an experimental result, following fact is ascertained; that is, the buckling strength is improved when the draft percentage Δt/t0×100(%) (where Δt is prerolling thickness minus postrolling thickness, and t0 is the prerolling thickness) is taken as 6W16%. In the meantime, from the geometrical relation, Δtm = Kδ is established, in which K is the ratio of the area of concave portion to the total area, δ is the depth of the concave portion, Δtm is prerolling thickness t0 minus postrolling thickness tm. Since Δt is considered to be equal to Δtm, Δt/t0 = Kδ/t0 is made up. From this result, the buckling strength is improved by making Kδ/t0 to be 6W16%. Besides, the surface luster is given by making the roughness of the rugged portion to be about 5S. In case of steel sheet of thickness under 0.3 mm, the transference of the rugged pattern is difficult.
