Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a polyurethane foam having long-term antistatic effect and uniform antistatic properties, by using a quaternary derivative of a polyether polyol having an amino group, as a polymeric polyol component.
CONSTITUTION: A polyurethane foam is prepared by reacting a mixture comprising (A) a polyisocyanate, (B) a quaternary derivative of a polyether polyol having one or more nitrogen atoms in the molecule, (C) a blowing agent, e.g. monofluorotrichloromethane, etc., (D) a foam stabilizer, e.g. silicone oil, etc., and (E) an amine catalyst, e.g. trimethylamine, etc., and a tin catalyst, e.g. dibutyltin dilaurate, etc.. The ratio of the quaternary portion of (B) is preferably 20W100% and the molecular weight of the original polyether polyol is preferably 100W4,000 on the basis of a hydroxyl group.
