Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an X-ray generator featuring such constitution that the partition cylinder composed of the insulator component is provided to isolate the discharge range for the X-ray tube from others and thus the inside of the container is isolated to avoid the direct irradiation of the X-rays to the circulating insulation gas.
CONSTITUTION: The insulator gas 14 enclosed within container 15 is circulated as shown by the arrow in the diagram to cool down the anode with addition of radiator 41 fitted to X-ray tube 13, fan 42, cooler 43, insulating holder 45 of low pressure side transformer 11 and guide cylinder 46 respectively. Then insulating partition cylinder 52 is provided between tube 13 and the inner surface of container 15 so as not to block X-ray radiation mouth 51, thus isolating the inside of container 15.
