PURPOSE: To obtain a telautograph which can perform high-speed transmission, by constituting this unit by a transmission part, which synthesizes signals from a photoelectric converter, a line information generator, a block information generator, etc., and transmits them, and a receiving part which decodes and recording these signals.
CONSTITUTION: In transmission part I, photoelectric conversion-type scanner 51 is controlled by scanning controller 52, and one scanning line on pictures and writings is scanned twice. The first- time conversion electric signal is read into black picture element counter 53, and the appearance probability of black picture elements is counted, and line information is generated in 54 and is tramsmitted through adder 55 and modulator 56.
