Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an operation efficiency of a conveying system, by locating two sensors in parallel to an automatic donveying system which obtain the same information so that either of the two sensors, which is defective, can be detected and discriminated.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic conveying system comprises a feeding vonveyor C1, a receiving conveyor C2, a kicker K which kicks conveyed object, e.g., steel pipe P, from the conveyor C1 to the conveyor C2, and a kicker's revolving action confirming information S1. A confirming information or an instruction information is output to an information processing device CMP. S2 and S3 represent a No.2 sensor and a No.3 sensor respectively which are located in parallel to the conveyor C2, and the sensor S2 is placed nearer to the S1 than the sensor S3. The kicker K is controlled by the information processing device CMP so that it can rotate at a given timing, and output information of the sensors S1, S2 and S3 are seperately input to the information processing device CMP. And thus, the alarming information corresponding to the sensor S2 and sensor S3 can be obtained at the information processing device CMP when a given information can not be output to the information processing device CMP as a result of not detecting the passage of the steel pipe P due to the presence of a trouble at either of the two sensors S2 and S3.
