Abstract
PURPOSE: To promote the efficiency of a solar heat collector by using a thermal medium given by mixing powder efficient to absorb and retain solar heat into a fluid.
CONSTITUTION: When solar heat is given to thermal medium 6 in a passage 5 of a main body 1, it is absorbed by the powder in the thermal medium 6, and is risen in the passage 5 together with fluid by the convection to be sent to a heat exchanger 2. As above actions are successively repeated, the solar heat absorbed by the powder is accumulated into a heat accumulator 4 through the heat exchanger 2 to be applied for other uses as a heat source. In this construction, the solar heat is efficiently absorbed and retained by the powder in the thermal medium, disusing the former selective absorbing film on the surface of the passage. In this connection, if silicone single crystal is used for the powder, it absorbs sun rays under 1.3μ of wavelength in a solar spectrum efficiently, being difficult to radiate heat once absorbed. These properties are suitable for the powder in the above-written thermal medium 6.
