Abstract

PURPOSE: To equalize the control characteristics of thyristor motor to that of DC motor by changing the field winding current according to the change of the d-axle component of armature current and also by changing the compensating winding current according to the change of the q' axle component of armature current.
CONSTITUTION: When controlling synchronous motor by a self-control frquency converter, a current supplied to field winding is changed according to the change in the d-axle component of armature current, and also a current supplied to compensating winding is changed according to the change in the q-axle component of armature current. Thus, when making matrix display of the characteristics of synchronous motor by d-q conversion, the mutual binding between armature current and field current becomes zero when control is made so that field current conincides with (field standard + armature current d-axle proportional term Kidr), and also the mutual binding between compensating winding current and armature current becomes zero by the same procedure, thus equalizing completely the control characteristics of thyristor motor to that of DC motor.
