PURPOSE:To let the time for exchange of battery to be informed to the user from ceasing of light emission a light emission source for illuminating the time indicating part by setting the lower limit allowable value of the operating voltage of the watch driving part lower than the emission lower limit voltage of the light emission source for illuminating the time indicating part. CONSTITUTION:A watch driving part 2 constituted of the driving coil or the like of the watch and a light emission source 3 for illuminating the time indicating part are connected in parallel to a battery 1 by way of a switch 4. If the voltage of the battery 1 is above the light emission lower limit voltage, the switch 4 is closed by the opreration of the watch driving part 2 and the light emission source 3 for illumnating is illuminating the time indicating part, but when the voltage of the battery 1 becomes lower than the light emission source 3 for illuminating, the liqht emission source 3 for illuminating does not emit light even if the switch 4 is closed, thus indicating that the time for exchange of the battery 1 has come.
