Abstract

PURPOSE: To stamp out sector cores from a band-shaped core material with improved yield, by stamping them out in such a manner that the arc portions of the sector cores are disposed along the feed direction of the core material and the inner arc portions and the outer arc portions of the sector cores are alternately disposed on the opposite sides.
CONSTITUTION: A wide band-shaped core material 9 is fed to a stamping die 10 through a roll-feeder 14 and sector cores 11 are stamped out in such a manner that their arc portions are disposed along the feed direction of the material and the inner arc portions and the outer arc portions of the sector cores are alternately disposed on the opposite sides. Then, scraps 12 and 13 are punched off by a scrap-press punch 15 and the remainder material 19 is taken up by a winder 16, then the remainder material is fed again to the stamping die 10 to be stamped out a plurality of columns of sector cores 11. Thus, the yield of sector cores stamped out from the band-shaped core material can be impreved.
