Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a device for cassette holders of cassette tape-recorders or the like capable of sliding smoothly at substantially constant speed always in spite of variations of ambient temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A device comprises an elongated sliding device main frame 26 having an U-shape sectional configuration, a sliding piece 23 sliding within the main frame 26 and high viscous fluid 24 filling clearances between the sliding piece 23 and the main frame 26 or side walls 27, 27a. The sliding piece 23 is made of a material of which thermal expansion coefficient is bigger than the same of a material of the main frame 26 (for example, the material of the sliding piece 23 is resin and the same of the main frame 26 is metal), thereby a variation of the fluid 24 due to ambient temperature may be absorbed by the clearance between the side walls 27, 27a variable with the ambient temperature variations.
