Abstract

PURPOSE: To rapidly perform detection of oil leaking at the same time with easy absorption of thermal expansion at the bottom plate of a tank in such a way that expansions are provided in a bursting-star pattern at the bottom plate of the tank, and an oil leak detecting pipe is inserted under each expansion.
CONSTITUTION: Expansions 4 whose section is semi-circularly protruded are provided in the proper piece number in a bursting-star pattern at the bottom plate 3 of an underground oil tank 1 having part embedded into the ground 2. Now for example, when oil in approximately 40°C is infused into an empty underground tank, the bottom plate 3 of the tank is expanded under influence of heat, whose stretch is absorbed by the expansions 4. In consequence, thermal stress does not engender at the bottom 3 of the tank, which does not produce fissures. In this case, if an oil leak detecting pipe 5 is installed under the expansions 4, at worst with leak of oil it can serve for detecting the stituation forthwith.
