Abstract

PURPOSE: To disperse an oil-soluble yellow coupler well in a hydrophilic organic colloid layer, by using a specific branched alkylphosphoric ester.
CONSTITUTION: The oil-soluble yellow coupler is dissolved in the branched alkylphosphoric ester whose acid value is preferably not more than 0.1 and which is represented by the formula where R1WR3 denote a branched alkyl with eight to fifteen carbon atoms. The coupler is dispersed in the hydrophilic organic colloid layer. The ester has no adverse effect on the photographic properties such as fog, sensitivity, maximum image density, etc. Thus, the preservability of yellow image is improved.
