Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove the noise from the outside at the signal detecting by mutually differentially connecting the receiving coils wound movably to a magnetostrictive wire.
CONSTITUTION: A receiving means 4 mounted to a movable part 3 consists of the coils 41, 42 which are movably wound along a magnetostrictive wire in mutual proximity, both coils being mutually differentially connected so that the respective induced voltages for the action of external magnetic fluxes are offset. The ultrasonic wave signal generated in the magnetostrictive wire 1 by an exciting means 2 generate the signal e2, which then arrives at a moving part 3. This causes the signals to be generated by having a minute time difference in the coils 41, 42, and the polarities of both signals become opposite. An FF is set by the output e2 of the means 5 and is reset by the output e1 of the means 4, whereby the output time width of the FF is corresponded to the distance (x). On the other hand, the noises produced simultaneously in the coils 41, 42 are offset.
