PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance without impairing electromagnetic conversion efficiency by depositing insulation materials of higher abrasion resistance than core materials on the plural core materials forming core halves. CONSTITUTION:Electric insulation materials 10... of higher abrasion resestance than core materails are deposited sufficiently thinnly n the surfaces of the core materials 1a, 1b... of high magnetic permeability material such as permalloy or the like of a constant thickness and the core materials 1a, 1b... are laminated, whereby a core half 1 is made. When the core 1 is butted to the similar core half 2 to form the magnetic head,the head of good abrasion resistance may be obrained without impairing the electric conversion efficiency by the insulation materials 10... near the gap face.
