Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent flow-out of hot water through a hot water feed port and relieve the user of danger and discomfort by arranging between a hot water reservoir tank and the feed port an overflow tank for receiving the over flow from the reservoir tank.
CONSTITUTION: By the pressure of city water fed into a hot water reservoir tank 1 via a feed water pipe 4, the hot water in the tank 1 is glowed through an outlet port 6, three-w y junction 7, and feed water pipe 12 and tapped through a hot water feed port 13 of a cock 14. By the hot water supply, cold water is driven into the tank 1 and heated through the function of a temperature controller 16 and an electric heater 15; the resulting hot water is reserved in the tank 1. When the cold water is converted into hot water it expands and overflows through the outlet port 6, and the overflow is directed through the junction 7, the horizontal portion 9 of the feed water pipe 12, trap 10, and inlet pipe 20 into an overflow tank 18. Thus the flow-out of hot water via the port 13 is prevented.
