Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate component pulse strings by sequentially erasing a mixed pluse string of several pulse strings different in period, by generating pulse strings with a period equal to the maximum interval between two adjacent pulses in the mixed pulse string.
CONSTITUTION: Mixed pulse string P is formed of pulse strings P1 to P3 in several sequences of different repetitive periods (τ1) to (τ3) [(τ1)<(τ2<(τ3)]. Then, a pulse string is generated which has a repetitive period equal to the maximum period between two adjacent pulses of this pulse string P. Next, the pulse-string erasing method erases pulse string P1 from pulse string P by using this pulse string. Moreover, pulse string P2 is erased from the mixed pulse string of remaining pulse strings P2 and P3. The finally-remaining pulse string agrees with pulse string P3. Consequently, pulse strings P1 to P3 constituting pulse string P can be separated from it.
