Abstract

PURPOSE: To flatten the entire air fuel ratio of a carburetor equipped with an air bleeder, by preventing the mixture from getting thin in the high-speed run of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: The carburetor 1 has a jet passage 11 opened into an air horn 10 at the upstream side of a Venturi part and another jet passage 12 opened into a lorge Venturi part 6. Both the jet passages 11, 12 are connected to each other through a single passage 16. A main air bleeding jet passage 15 is connected to the passage 16. Thus, the delay of main fuel due to the difference between the fuel level in a float chamber 2 and the height of a main nozzle 8 is corrected. As a result, the flat air fuel ratio is attained ranging from the low flow rate to the high flow rate of intake air of the carburetor without reducing the drivability at the low flow rate. This is advantageous to take measures against the exhaust gas. Furthermore, the degree of freedom of air fuel ratio matching is heightened.
