Abstract
PURPOSE: A box inverter which reduces the drop head in discharging of the content (e.g. fruit) from boxes, enables feeding of the content to a high position without damage, and enables automatic discharging of vacant boxes.
CONSTITUTION: Boxes 3 transfered onto a conveyor 7 in a piled-up form are pushed upward by a conveyor rag 15. When the upmost box 3 nears an inversion means 39, the opening 51 of the box 3 is covered by a cover member 53. The cover member 53 is rotated through the function of an endless belt 49. When a contact part 55 contacts the upper portion of the back face of the box 3, the part 55 pushes the box 3 forward. With the box 3 inverted by this function of the contact part 55, the cover member 53 opens a portion of the opening 51 so as to discharge the content gradually. The content is transfered onto a conveyor 61 through the function of a guide member 37. When the box is inverted into the state 3a, the box becomes vacant. The vacant box 39 is transfered onto a means 65 through the fucntion of transfer rolls 63.
