Abstract
PURPOSE: To segregate and separate a fruit effectively in accordance with its height by turning a fruit-segregating-and-separating belt, inclined to such an effect that starting side is high and ending side is low, perpendicularly to a fruit-conveying endless belt.
CONSTITUTION: Above an endless belt 4 for moving a fruit 5 horizontally, a fruit- segregating-and-separating belt 18 which is inclined in such an effect that starting side is high and ending side is low is provided in such a position that it rotates perpendicularly to an endless belt 4, so that a big and tall fruit and a small and low fruit become in contact with the bottom surface of the fruit-segregating-and- separating belt 18 at its starting side and ending side, respectively, and a fruit 5 is led in the direction of an endless belt 4, and the fruit 5 is separated in a step- free manner in accordance with its size and height and then taken out from an outlet.
