Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the detection of the fact that the driving circuits are all in the high-impedance state in the differential binary transmission circuit without using a special power source nor the cable different from the data cable. CONSTITUTION:Terminal 63 is fixed to logic ''1'', and the micro voltage of, for example, 40mV is generated at reference potential generator circuit 59 to be applied to terminal 65 and 66. The signal line of the bus in the differential binary transmission circuit is connected to terminal 61 and 62. When the signal is being transmitted to the bus, the differential binary code is available. So the potential difference between two lines is equivalent to the signal amplitude which is usually much larger than 40mV. Accordingly, terminal 64 features logic ''1'' at all times. When the driving circuits connected to the bus are all put under the hihg-impedance state, the potential difference between the two lines becomes zero. Thus, terminal 64 features logic ''0''. In such way, the high-impedance state can be detected for the bus.
