Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a resin composition solid at room temperature and having excellent curability, composed of a graft copolymer of 1,2-polybutadiene and a vinyl monomer, and an epoxy resin having an unsaturated monobasic acid residue.
CONSTITUTION: A vinyl monomer is grafted to 1,2-polybutadiene glycol, and the resulting copolymer is converted to the half-ester by reacting with an α,β- unsaturated acid anhydride. The modified 1,2-polybutadiene resin thus obtained is compounded with a crosslinking agent comprising a solid epoxy resin having polymerizable unsaturated monobasic acid residue and a curing agent. The amount of the vinyl monomer is pref. 0.1-2.0 moles per 1 mole of the double bond of 1,2- polybutadiene glycol.
