Abstract

PURPOSE: To mold any products in a desired color in respective mold cavities, by means of colorant feeders in the extension nozzles of the injection molding machine having a plurality of cavities.
CONSTITUTION: The first and second shut-off valves 10aW10e and 11aW11e provided at the extension nozzles 5aW5e leading to the cavities 8aW8e are closed, and the main shut-off valve 12 is opened. The first and second shut-off valves 10a and 11a for the cavity 8a are opened to inject a colorless resin from the injection molding machine 1, and the resin is passed through the static mixer unit together with a colorant preliminarily fed into the nozzle 5a by the plunger-type colorant feeder 15a. The mixed and colored material is injected into the cavity 8a, and the valve 10a is closed. The cavity 8a is maintained at a constant pressure with a pressure control cylinder 9a to make molding proceed. Said operations are repeated for respective cavities to give the desired colored product.
