Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably increase the torque value, by providing on the rotor a plurality of equally spaced teeth parallel to the rotor shaft, and providing stepped width portion at each end portion of respective teeth approaching the rotor shaft end where tooth width is stepwise narrowed.
CONSTITUTION: Each stepped rotor tooth 14, 15, 16 is constructed to be symmetrical with respect to a central perpendicular plane through the rotor 13 wherein the plane is perpendicular to the axial direction of the rotor 13. Rotor tooth portions 14 and 16 have the same axial length and the same tooth width. Since the rotor 13 is formed to have doubly stepped rotor teeth 14∼16, in a state shown in the Figure (b), (c) wherein lateral sides 12, 18 of a stator and lateral sides 14∼16 of the rotor coincide, a torque curve AGHIJF is obtained which is a superposition of torque curves ABC and DEF having the maximum torques.
