Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the disturbance of the reproduced picture and thus to obtain the steady reproduced picture for the device which reads out the information by irradiating the light beams to the information recording carrier containing the spiral information track by having the shift in the radius direction of the light beam at the vertical blanking section at all times.
CONSTITUTION: The information reading device includes optical information recording carrier 1, optical pickup 16 which reads out the information on the information track and motor 15 which moves pickup 16. In such device, the position of the information track is detected by detector 8, and control circuit 13 is added to trace the information track to control the shift of the radius direction of the light beam irradiating the position of the information track. In addition, light beam shift control circuit 17 is provided to deliver the signals with which the shift of the radius direction of the beam is always given in the vertical blanking period using output (a) of demodulator 9 which demodulates the output of detector 8, output (e) of circuit 13 and the signal of motor 15 as the input. Then the output of circuit 17 is applied to circuit 13 to enable the track tracing near the balancing position of motor 14.
