Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent lost heating etc. through simple constitution, by providing a control unit which causes the calorific power applied to a heated matter to vary in inverse proportion to the temperature of the heated matter.
CONSTITUTION: Excitation windings 31∼33 are connected to an AC power source. Magnetic poles 11∼13 are excited to generate an alternating magnetic field. An eddy current is caused in a cooking vessel 4 by the varying magnetic flux of the magnetic field to heat the vessel to cook the heated matter therein. Supports 11b∼ 13b made of such a material of large thermal expansion coefficient and deformation as bimetal are partially fixed to the tops of the magnetic poles 11∼13. The supports 11b∼13b are thermally expanded and deformed according as the temperature of the cooking vessel 4 rises. As a result, the distance between the magnetic poles 11∼ 13 and the cooking vessel 4 increases and the calorific power applied to the vessel decreases.
