Abstract

PURPOSE: To make an ideal distribution of pressure to front and rear wheels, by raising output oil pressure with a different-area piston in comparison with input oil pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A first different-area piston 3 is slidably fitted in an outer stepped cylinder 2, 2'. A second different-area piston 5 is slidably fitted in an inner stepped cylinder 4, 4'. In braking, oil pressure is supplied from a master cylinder to an input oil pressure chamber 7 and then conducted to an output oil pressure chamber 8 and a front wheel cylinder through a passage 6. The first and the second different- area pistons 3, 5 are moved left in Fig. by differential pressure. When the second piston 5 is moved by a predetermined length, the passage 6 is shut off in contact with a valve seat 9 and the input oil chamber 7 is disconnected from the output oil chamber 8. Thereafter, the output oil pressure is amplified at the end area ratio of the first piston 3 in comparison with the input oil pressure to heighten the front wheel braking force.
