Abstract
PURPOSE: A vinyl chloride resin composition capable of forming a molded article having improved appearance without lowering properties of the composition, obtained by blending vinyl chloride resin with calcium stearate and dibutyl tin-β- mercaptopropionate.
CONSTITUTION: A) 100 parts by wt. of vinyl chloride resin is blended with B) 0.2W0.6 parts by wt. of calcium stearate, C) 0.9W1.5 parts by wt. of dibutyl tin-β- mercaptopropionate, D) an additive, E) a filler, etc. to give a vinyl chloride composition. When the amount of the Zinc stearate is not more than 0.2 parts by wt., flow and lubricity in molding become insufficient, and impact strength of a molded article decreases. No less than 0.6 parts by wt. of the Zinc stearate lowers heat distortion resistance of the molded article. When the amount of the dibutyl-β- mercaptopropionate is not more than 0.9 parts by wt., weatherability diminishes. No less than 1.5 parts by wt. of the dibutyl-β-mercaptopropionate will cause stick in cavity in molding and decrease of moldability.
