Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture decoration board with excellent appearance simply by fitting cubically a punched portion, obtained from wooden board by punching of press work, within a punched hole.

CONSTITUTION: A cutting edge 3 formed in correspondence with patterns for punching is erected through a cutting base board 2 of plywood and the like which is adhered onto the lower surface of a vertically movable press table 1 and a sponge 4 for assisting edge cutting is arranged around the cutting edge 3, also, a wooden board 6 as a material of a decoration board is placed on a fixed base 5 at the position corresponding to the cutting edge 3. Then the press table 1 is lowered and punch cutting work is effected by the cutting edge 3 biting into the wooden board 6 with the force in accordance with materials and thicknesses of the wooden board 6 under the condition that the sponge 4 is pressed between the cutting base board 2 and the wooden board 6. Thereafter a punched portion 7 is pulled out once and fitted again within a punched hole 8 under the condition of half buried, thereby a decoration board with an appeatance, having a floating pattern of punched portion 7 when it is seen from one side or a recessed pattern of the punched hole 8 when it is seen from the other side, is obtained.
