Abstract
PURPOSE: To reproduce the half tone of white and black colors econimically in high fidelity merely with the use of a simple switching circuit in a drive circuit by periodically varying the supply voltage to get fed to the drive circuit of a recording or auxiliary electrode.
CONSTITUTION: A recording electrode 14 is divided into groups of plural electrode elements, wherein the odd group A and even group B are connected with power source driving circuits 8 and 8', respectively. Auxiliray electrode groups 16 are all connected with their drive circuit 17. An analog shift register 1 consecutively shifts the analog signals, which are sampled in a sampling block 3 and fed, and transmits them to an analog shift register 4. The contents of the register 4 are consecutively renewed in response to reset pulses 6 and fed to a voltage-time converting circuit 5. The paw-tooth waves 11 of their generator 10 are contolled by the pulses 6, and the converter 5 generates the pulses having the length corresponding to the information of the register 4. Gates 7 and 7' alternately divides the information to the electrode element groups A and B in response to control signals 12 and 13. The auxiliary electrodes 16 are supplied consecutively with high voltage pulses in the main scanning direction by the control of an auxiliary electrode control circuit 18.
