PURPOSE:To raise the heating efficiency and to decrease the generating amount of NOx, by arranging plural high speed circulating burners in zigzags with each other between the opposite sides at the positions of upper and lower stages of the both side walls of the preheating zone for the upper and lower surfaces of the steel material being transferred and by directing the stream of the gas in the furnace from the high temperature side to the low temperature side.
