Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the decomposition rate of NaCl and to obtain a relatively highly conc. aq. soln. of NaOH at high current efficiency and low voltage in electrolysis of NaCl in a plural number of two chamber-type cells each provided with a cation exchange membrane as a diaphragm by specifying a manner of feeding solns. into both cathode and anode chambers and the concn. of each soln. at the outlet of each chamber.
