PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal timepiece, in which stoppage of oscillation is detected by oscillation detecting circuit and thereupon operation of liquid crystal panel is stopped under the function of a circuit adapted for stopping operation of liquid crystal, whereby it is enabled to turn off the indication of the liquid crystal panel and to prevent flickering indication of the panel.
