Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an orienting optical coupler, in which two optical fibers are jointed at an angle of 30 to 60 degrees with respect to their center axes such that their center axes are aligned by using as a joint surface the polished surface vertical to the joint surface and in which another optical fiber is jointed thereto with less jointing loss.
