Abstract
PURPOSE: The number of pumps for operation are determined by a flow rate signal from a flow rate generator 7, and a pressure signal from a pressure signal generator 7 is sampled by an adjuster 10 to control the r.p.m. of the drive motor of a pump for forcing water to the water supply duct netword 4. Pressure signals for a plurality of points in the water supply duct network are obtained from respective detectors, and the rate of change of pressure signal from the water supply duct network 4 is obtained in a pressure difference detector means 16. When a predetermined value is exceeded by the rate of change, a rupture in the water supply network is detected. Also, the position of rupture of the duct in the water supply duct network can be detected according to the pressure detector, the rate of change of the pressure signal from which exceeds a predetermined range.
