PURPOSE: To prepare a powdered acrylamide polymer containing no insoluble matter by polymerizing acrylamide in the presence of an insolubilizing inhibitor vhich prevents crosslinking reactions at the time of heating and drying and gives a high molecular weight, then heating and drying the polymer.
