Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce catalystically Ti(IV) ions to Ti(III) ions useful for reducing agent in an excellent yield in a short time by use of inexpensive apparatus by catalytic reduction of an acidic aqueous soltuion of Ti(IV) with hyrogen in the presence of a platinum group catalyst at a speficic pH and in the presence of anions of a specific concentration.
