Abstract

The liquid-crystal display device includes electrodes (2a and 3a) deposited in the form of transparent layers on the internal faces of the upper and lower plates (2 and 3). The electrodes (2a and 3a) serve, for example, to show a day of the week indication at a location which corresponds to the current day. The area occupied by these electrodes is delimited by the frames (5) affixed to the external faces of the two plates (2 and 3). These frames are permanently visible impressions.
