Abstract
PURPOSE: Dihydric phenol monoalkeyl ether is prepared in high selectivity without formation of tarry materials by the gas-phase reaction of dihydric phenol and lower alcohol in the presence of boron phosphate and a compound consisting of Al and P as catalysts.
