形成される鋳型キャビティ−内に落下して鋳造欠陥をも
たらす原因になるため鋳砂は完全に除去する必要があ
る。上記のようなことから湯口棒及び通気孔棒の上端に
ある成形フィルム上に残された鋳砂の除去は、作業者の
刷毛清掃により行われていて、この作業はスクレープさ
れて水平に均された鋳砂上面に凹凸を発生させて掛堰の
セットに悪影響を及ぼさないように丁寧に行う必要があ
った。
