Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 符号化されたビデオ信号を供給するためのビデオソースを持つ送信機を 有するビデオ伝送システムであって、前記送信機が前記符号化されたビデオ信号 をパケット交換網を介して受信機に送信するための送信手段を有し、前記送信機 は、画面変化指示を与える画面変化指示手段、および前記画面の変化に続く画面 に対して要求されるサービスの等級を指示するサービス等級指示手段を含み、さ らに、前記送信機は、前記画面変化指示に応答して前記要求されるサービス等級 に従ってパケット交換網からサービスをリクエストするためのリクエスト手段を 有することを特徴とするビデオ伝送システム。 2. 前記リクエスト手段は、少なくとも、ピークビット速度測度、平均ビッ ト速度測度、およびバースト性測度によって定義されるサービスをリクエストす るように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1のビデオ伝送システム。 3. 前記パケット交換網は前記送信機に受理メッセージを送信するための手 段を有し、リクエストされたサービスをパケット交換網によって提供することが できないことを前記受理メッセージが示す場合は、前記ビデオソースは、リクエ ストされたサービス等級より低い等級のサービスを要求する符号化されたビデオ 信号を供給するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1あるいは2に記載の ビデオ伝送システム。 4. ビデオ伝送システムに対する送信機であって、この送信機は符号化され たビデオ信号を供給するためのビデオソースを有し、この送信機は前記符号化さ れたビデオ信号をパケット交換網を介して受信機に送信するための送信手段を有 し、前記送信機は、画面変化指示を与える画面変化指示手段、および前記画面の 変化に続く画面に対して要求されるサービスの等級を示すサービス等級指示手段 を有し、さらに、前記送信機は、前記画面変化指示に応答して前記要求されるサ ービス等級に従ってパケット交換網からサービスをリクエストするためのリクエ スト手段を有することを特徴とするビデオ伝送システムに対する送信機。 5. 前記リクエスト手段は、少なくとも、ピークビット速度測度、平均ビッ ト速度測度、およびバースト性測度によって定義されるサービスをリクエストす るように構成されることを特徴とする請求項4の送信機。 6. リクエストされたサービスをパケット交換網によって提供することがで きないことを前記受理メッセージが示す場合は、前記ビデオソースは、リクエス トされたサービス等級より低い等級のサービスを要求する符号化されたビデオ信 号を供給するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項4あるいは5に記載の送 信機。 7. ビデオ伝送方法であって、この方法は、符号化されたビデオ信号を供給 するステップ、および前記符号化されたビデオ信号をパケット交換網を介して受 信機に送信するステップを有し、この方法は、画面変化指示を与えるステップ、 および前記画面の変化に続く画面に対して要求されるサービスの等級を供給する ステップを有し、さらに、この方法は、前記画面変化指示に応答して前記要求さ れるサービス等級に従ってパケット交換網からサービスをリクエストするステッ プを有することを特徴とするビデオ伝送方法。 8. 前記方法は、少なくとも、ピークビット速度測度、平均ビット速度測度 、およびバースト性測度によって定義されるサービスをリクエストするステップ を有することを特徴とする請求項7のビデオ伝送方法。 9. 前記方法は、前記パケット交換網からの前記受理メッセージが前記リク エストされたサービスを提供することができないことを示す場合は、前記リクエ ストされたサービス等級より低い等級のサービスを要求する符号化されたビデオ 信号を提供するステップを有することを特徴とする請求項7あるいは8に記載の ビデオ伝送方法。
